The Perfect Storm!

Casey is now done with school for a month! He finished his Physical Diagnosis- this is a relief... I've received enough practice physicals to last for a good couple of years! But we are proud of Casey and all the hard work he has put into school!

This week has been a little crazy in the Kiser apartment. Our furnace broke- we went five days with NO HEAT! I have been told this builds character but I choose to turn on every space heater we had! On top of that our landlord decided to try and make a fire, something I don't think she has ever done before. Needless to say our house filled with smoke and we had to open every window to air it all out. Then I got super paranoid we were breathing in odd gases so I set my alarm for every hour of the night to make sure we were still alive!! Yes, a little crazy I know- but like my mom taught me better be safe than sorry!

So after a LONG week Casey and I needed to unwind- then we got the Perfect Day! Saturday we were expecting a snow storm, and we got one! We were stranded in our house because the roads were too bad to go out anywhere- so we got to do nothing! Casey laid around in his sweats, me my fleece footie pajamas provided by Grandma Boxer! We watched two movies... IN A ROW, built a gingerbread house, and then I got a little antsy and we cleaned a little! (I couldn't help myself)


Once our neighborhood was plowed we were able to get out just long enough to get ugly Christmas sweaters for the med school Christmas party! We went to a couple thirft stores and walked away with some pretty good stuff! Mine wasn't so much ugly as aging... once I put the outfit together I think I became 47!



But the party doesn't stop there! We carpooled with our friends Natlie and Dave and things got a little crazy! We laughed (and at time maybe a little to loud), we talked, and we played! We were able to meet Staci,Chris, Cody and Cami at the party. We played white elephant and Casey and I were both happy with what we walked away with! Staci and Natalie make this super cute frames and we were lucky enough to get one Staci made! Casey was a little torn because we wanted a wolf poster (he is all about wolves... don't quite get it). Then we came back to our place for some battle of the sexes! The boys won- I like to think we gave it to em. But next time girls... we gotta come out the champs!


All in all it was a great day- just what we needed after last week. I love the silence after the storm!
