The Med Wives have done it... the 4th Street Clinic 5k has been conquered!
The morning started out FREEZING cold (40 degrees) but we were all stripping off the layers as we got going. I need to give a special thanks to Melissa who became my running buddy! Everything was going so well, then the last mile was all up hill! It was tough! Casey was able to give his support at different places on the course... what a good husband! He told me before the race that I had to sprint through the finish. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it... then something in me went crazy and I bolted through the finish line. Now if only I would figure out how to do that the whole time!
Great job girls! I am so proud of all of us! Next year I vote we try to take on the triathlon!

Yikes, a triathlon! I think I will drown before finishing the water portion...we would definitely need to make a few med-wives nights in the lap pool to work up to that one. :) It was awesome. Way to go Julie!

Give me a whoop! whoop! Way to go sis! That's was awesome. I especially liked the "ROCKY" moment at the end when you sprinted to the finish- made me proud. Love ya.
