Last week I was able to go back to Virginia for a little pick me up! It was a blast! I got to spend much needed time with my family! The trip included witnessing a protest in D.C., 5th row seats to Jersey Boys, babysitting my nephew and niece, watching the Yankees win, Virginia little league football- it is Tyson's first year, and a birthday party for Katie!
Now for the details and pictures:

Mom and I got to babysit Chloe and Leland! It was so fun we played in the tunnels (I don't know if they were made for adults... Mom and I were lucky to get our hips through!!!), made Halloween cookies, and played outside. Leland and I were playing dinosaurs and his would die then come back to life. When we were on our walk Leland stomped on a bug and then sat down next to it and was letting the bug know it was time to come back to life and start playing again! It was a tough lesson... pretend play is not like real life!!

The Boxer girls at Jersey Boys! It was an awesome play! Anything that gives a shout out to
Belleville, New Jersey is probably going to be good! We all were cheering for the good
ol town of
Belleville and got to dance around at the end of the play! No better people to see a play with than the Boxer clan! Thanks Dad!

So we all wanted to let the actors know how much we enjoyed the show and Mama Boxer led the way! We were able to sneak back stage and talk to them. The actors response...."how did you guys even get back here?".....Mom's response...."I'm from Jersey!".... then it was clear to the actors how we were able to get backstage!

Another memorable quote: "There is nothing more comforting than a chain link fence."- Papa Boxer

Katie and I sneaking a picture! While we were in D.C. we were able to witness a protest as well, and leave it to Katie to sign the petition! Nothing like being surround by people with passion! I love that city!

The cheer squad for Tyson's football game! Mimi,
Poppi, Aunt Carlene, Katie... we were all there to support the Giants!

Even Chloe was cheering along with everyone!

Ben, coach of the Giants, was supporting the team from the sidelines!

Mimi and Chloe.

Football in Virginia is pretty hard core! We start out our kids at 5 and yes girls can play too! There was a little girl on Tyson's team! Tyson's league goes from 5-8! I couldn't believe it they tower over the little guys and yes this is tackle! Tyson was in on both sides all game- that's the Boxer way!

Tyson in his gear- we are so proud of you Tyson!

After watching the Yankees win we gained our youngest fan! Go Yankees!

It wouldn't be a visit without Mom's "puppy" Maggie!

After the game everyone came over to have a party for Katie.
Poppi was giving lawn mower rides around the yard! What a grandpa!

Happy Birthday Katie! We love you! It was a great way to end the trip to Virginia- a big family party!
