Well... we haven't quite made it on the charts yet! We had our 4 month check up yesterday and here are the stats:
Weight: 9 pounds 11 ounces
Height: 21 inches
(and yes I'm a bad mom I forgot her head circum.)
So our little stinker is setting her own curve. She is getting closer to the zero percentile... maybe by 6 months! Ha! But the doctor said all is well! We have to set up some appointments with the surgeons to check out her poor little belly and hopefully we can have her 2nd surgery within the next year or so. After all the good news came the shots.... those stupid stupid shots! I know its her job but how on this good earth can that nurse feel good about herself after giving those shots to my poor baby! I barely kept it together. Thankfully I was blessed with a baby who doesn't really cry- no tears at least. Well those shots brought out the tears! Poor Maddie was turning all sorts of colors screaming and crying. Just about ripped my heart out! Not cool.
After saying that I am grateful for modern medicine that can provide vaccines to prevent further illness- I think she has been through enough! Thanks Doc for the good check up see ya in 2 months! Maybe by then she'll be on the charts!

Great news! She's getting so close to being on the charts...what an accomplishment! What is the second surgery? It is minor compared to when she was born? I hope so. You guys have been through enough!
That is amazing she is growing so much! I am glad all is well.
since her abdominal wall never closed she has an umbilical hernia so the second surgery is to repair that... considering how intense her first surgery was this shouldn't be too big a deal. and hopefully we'll get a belly button out of it!
I have always considered needles for infant immunizations nothing short of Medieval. Surely modern science can come up with something less painful for those tiny legs.
Proud of Maddie, though. She is a total warrior maiden, and beautiful, too.
Great growing Maddie girl! I'm waiting for Star Trek style medicine where they just put a hypo spray on your shoulder and "pfft" all better!
