Digger-
I wasn't there to say good-bye but there are some things I wanted you to know. I love you! Making the trip to our home every summer allowed for many memories to be made...You taught me Oh-My-Gosh, Hearts, Rummy- pretty much every card game!("Diamonds are a girls best friend") The famous whistling- I did have mixed feelings on that but now I realize it was a trait about you I just might miss! Thanks to you I think I am the only person in Utah who knows the glory of "Hello Dolly". You helped create a beach bum... and to be honest I think I got some of my stubbornness from you as well. Digger you were a different kind of a grandpa- you weren't a grandpa at all you were a DIGGER! And a Digger is better than a grandpa! Please know you were loved, so very much. I am going to miss you. I miss you already. But you will never be forgotten. So next time I see ya I'll be looking forward to that "Hi-ya kid" and a big kiss!
Love you
Julie

Dear Julie, You had a great and wonderful grandpa. I enjoyed the few times I was around him and all of your mother's family. The Lord has taken him home now and that is where you grandpa waits for you. Digger was quite a special man. My sympathies to you and your family.
