Memoirs of a Med Wife

So this weekend I lost my husband... something I am not new too! With hours studying and preparing for tests I know what it is like to have to entertain myself, luckily I am easily entertained. But this weekend was special, the absence of Casey was for a brotherly bond. Casey's brother Cameron is leaving for New York in just a few months to attend PA school.

It is hard to lose your husband for a weekend, especially when you know finals are around the corner and a weekend of not seeing him is really going to be three weeks of not seeing him. But family is important. Spending time with someone who is going away is important.

Now what did I do this weekend... well I am lucky to have friends and family who look out for me. I received many a phone call from my dad- he always knows how to make me laugh! He would ask... "how is the widow doing today?", classic! I attended the MSA book club even though I didn't even know the name of the book until I got there... but great treats Sami!! Got to go dancing... which has been much wanted/needed. Got to go to dinner with my sister-in-law Kenz and her boyfriend. It is always nice to be a third wheel... makes you miss your significant other!Went on a double date with Staci and Chris- Angels and Demons was amazing! (Special shout out to my hot date Heather!) Heather and I finished the night off with some dinner and the REAL Salt Lake soccer game!

All in all it was another weekend without Casey. Kinda sad but look I made the best of it! I am so grateful for the friends I have made and my family. Without them I don't know how I would be able to make it through weekends like these.
