Boxer Summer Trip

Our Boxer summer trip was a true adventure! We visited a total of 6 states in ten days! Starting in Virginia we got to meet my parent's puppy Maggie! Last time we saw her was on Skype and she was so little, now she is a monster! When she stands on her back legs she comes up to Casey's shoulders! Nonetheless she was so fun to play with. We got to play games with Mom, Aunt Carlene, and Katie- and it is always good to laugh that hard! Mom comes up with the best bluffs... and most of the time you will find her answer is "Because the people demanded it!". Then it was off to the Boxer Beach house, where we got to enjoy boating, sun-bathing, tennis, burying people in the sand, Funland, and a family photo shoot! While boating we had a run in with some jelly-fish. Casey, Katie, Ben and Tyson all walked away victims of there sting. But they toughed it out and by the end of the night we were all laughing again. It was awesome to be back at the beach! I loved the water- nothing like the beach.
Cape May was next on the list- taking us there was the Cape May Ferry (a first for Casey). It is such a cute little island with awesome Victorian bed&breakfasts! We got to Belleville to see Grandma Boxer. She isn't doing her best but it was fun to catch glimpses of her old self! Casey was able to experience Joey's in Belleville, New Jersey- and yes it is an experience, an amazing one. For $4.50 you get a half sub which is bigger than a Subway foot-long! You eat there you are good the rest of the week!
New York City was calling our names! We went to visit Cameron in Brooklyn and then walked around the city. I loved it! I am a huge fan of New York, I have been going there for years when I visit my Grandma. I think New York has an amazing energy I can't get enough of! We got to experience: WTC,30 Rock, NBC studios, Radio City, Time Square, Central Park, the subway, amazing street dancers, ESPN Zone, NBA Store, Today Show Studios, MTV, and the Brooklyn Diner! Casey on the other hand thought Manhattan had too many people, he is more of a Brooklyn guy. It was less crowded, and a little more artsy. Bedford St. in Brooklyn was our favorite. We ate at this great Chinese place and it had so many cute resturants, shops, and art galleries. We loved walking around at night! We got to meet Cameron's roommate, Terry. We got to experience Pace Univeristy with Cameron, it is in a beautiful area.
After New York it was Boxer Family Reunion time in New Jersy at my cousin Cheryl's. She is amazing! I decided I want to be like her when I grow up- and her backyard was incredible too! We got to visit with my Aunts/Uncles and cousins! Lots of good laughs and it was time to head back to Virginia. One last night with the Boxer gang- and this called for a game of Boggle. I was lucky enough to walk away with the win after pulling out a 6 letter word... Hebrew! A great ending to a great trip!

Love the slide show Jules!! It was a whirlwind vacation, but tons of fun!!!! I miss you guys already!!! There is nothing better than time at the beach- the warm sands, salt water, sea breezes, ... especially with your family there too. Let's do it next year!!! Love you guys, Mom
