Christmas was awesome... we got to spend Christmas day with the Kiser gang and everyone walked away a happy camper with all the great presents. Casey and I accomplished our goal with our present- it brought tears out of the Kiser Ma and Pa (when I say Ma and Pa I really mean just the Pa but I don't want anyone loosing street cred by crying over a present!). Chip brought the biggest laughs with his present- stating the truth with a flag. He got us the BYU/UTAH House Divided flag! This year Casey and I decided to treat ourselves to a Wii for Christmas- we figured it would supply us with many free date nights. We like to look at it as an investment (this is how we justify things!). We wrapped up the day by visiting the Ekins for dinner. It was fun to see extended family and let them know how much we love and appreciate them.
Chip was the present distributor!
House Divided. Can't deny the truth!

All the girls in the family! Aunt Carlene was able to make it, she is the best!
The men.
This is classic! Leland slept through the whole baptism- note: he was sleeping right next to the piano. Who is this kid!!??!

Tyson and Leland playing extreme sports Wii.
Mom's 50 pound Labradoodle. And yes she thinks she is a lap dog!

Casey and Anthony getting ready to bring in the New Year!
Day after Christmas Casey and I were on a flight to Virginia to see the Boxers! We were welcomed with our second Christmas of the year... you will never hear us complain about that! That Sunday Casey and I got to go to our oldest nephews baptism. We are so proud of Tyson. Cara gave a talked on baptism, then Dad gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. It was such a blessing to witness a baptism, it gives us all a chance to feel the Spirit and remember the promises we have made to our Heavenly Father. Thank you Tyson for giving us all the opportunity to witness your baptism!! Casey was the witness and got to be in the circle when Tyson received the Gift of the Holy Ghost. I think that was the best Christmas present of them all!! Thanks buddy!
Katie also got a Wii for Christmas so needless to say the big screen in the basement is where we spent A LOT of our time! It was so fun! I never thought watching my Dad bowl could be so entertaining. Punch Out was another big hit in the Boxer house.... how ironic! Leland, my three year old nephew, was able to knock out Ben, my 32 year old brother. And Mama bear brought her A-game and knocked out Poppy! It was a sight to see to say the least! We all brought in the New Year with a nice dinner, the Wii, Taboo, and of course Martinellis!
Now it's time to start a new year, but first we need to look back and remember how blessed we have been in the past. 2009 brought us close friends, time with family, good health, better jobs, an amazing ward, a better apartment situation, another successful year in med school and memories that will never be forgotten. Looking forward to a year were we can continue to grow as a family and improve ourselves!
