November

The month of November did not go by unnoticed although in the blog world I have done it a great injustice. So this is what happened:
Maddie had her appt with her surgeon and we are trying to schedule her second surgery- but we can't do that until we get her bathroom situation under control. Poor thing. But we are hoping for some time in January.
Casey has been getting residency interviews and we have been
planning that- yikes, what a headache!
I have been busy with little Maddie and working at the gym.
But the highlight of our November came at the end. This last week Casey had to take a test in LA so we decided to make a little family vacation out of it! We drove to St George and spent a day there- spending time at the pool, going to the outlets and watching football games at a local sports bar. It was so relaxing! I even started a book... the first 12 pages were really good! Ha! Didn't take much for me to pass out and take the most amazing nap!

Then we headed to LA were we got to go out to dinner with my cousin Steve and his wife Ali. We went to this amazing Italian place call C&O! If you are ever in LA you should try it! We had a great time laughing and catching up. The next day Casey took his test while Maddie and I went to work with Steve. Steve works on the set of Private Practice! We got to take pictures and walk the set, watch some filming, meet some people- it was incredible! I felt pretty awesome. While they were filming everyone had to be silent and I was terrified Maddie was going to be too loud but she didn't make a peep! What a good girl! We finished off the Hollywood life with going to the Chinese theater, seeing the Hollywood sign, seeing the walk of stars, and Ripleys.

Then we picked up Casey and went to the beach- Manhattan Beach. It was a beautiful day, we got to watch some surfers. Maddie was all over it she would cheer for the surfers and tried a few times to lunge into the water. Good thing her daddy had a good grip on her!

After the beach it was Disneyland here we come! We slept at a hotel near the park and had a goodnight sleep. Woke up early so we could hit the park hard! We were able to meet and get pictures with Mickey and Minnie, go on Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear all within the first hour or so! Which was so nice- later in the day the lines for those were insane. Maddie loved all the characters- we got to see Tigger, Eyor, Pooh, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, and the Princess and the Frog princess (didn't know her name...kinda awkward!). Tigger was a riot. He was tickling Maddie and she was just laughing and laughing- petting him, giving him high five. She didn't want to leave. When it was time for us to move on she kept reaching and looking back at him. Precious. Maddie was always making friends while we were waiting in any line. These two women couldn't get enough of her they took a picture of her- cute and creepy. Casey and I got to do some rides with the child swap thing they have- it was a blast. One poor family was stuck with Casey in there picture on Splash Mountain. Oops! We were able to get a good spot for the parade- Maddie went bananas, she was dancing with the music waving all the characters laughing.... that made the trip! I love seeing that girl so happy- she was perma grin the whole time! I have to give Maddie tons and tons of credit she was amazing on the drive home- we went from LA to Salt Lake and she was so great. Only fussed a little the last stretch. She is a trooper. We did stop in Vegas to stretch our legs and get a picture!

When we got home Cameron, Chip, Kenz, and Spencer came to our house and we laughed, ate some dinner... it was a good time! Love being with family!
Thanksgiving. Well Thanksgiving was interesting this year! Casey started out playing in the annual rugby Turkey Bowl but ended the morning with playing doctor. One of his friends, Michael, split his head open above his eyebrow and Casey was able to stitch him up! So thank you Michael for making this probably Caseys favorite Thanksgiving yet! We had dinner with the Kisers- after eating all that turkey it was time for football and a nap! Then Kenz and Spencer came over so we had the whole crew together. Family is the most important thing- so in order to be apart of the Boxer Thanksgiving we were able to do facetime courtesy of the iPhone. Best part was when Chloe was trying to tickle Maddie through the phone- I am so excited for those two cousins to grow up together and for our little niece who is on the way!
Things we are thankful for this year:
Interviews, Family, Maddie's Doctors, Good health, Maddie getting a tooth, Maddie's laugh, a hardworking husband, a great group of friends who are there for us, pinterest making me a better mom, technology so we can skype with family, and most of all that there is no snow on the ground right now! HA!
